Coqui Frog Spraying in Ha’iku. Volunteers Needed!

MISC (Maui Invasive Species Committee) is having another coqui frog abatement session in the Hamakualoa Open Space Preserve, and they need volunteers from the community to help out. The dates are Monday – Thursday, June 5th-8th. Pick any evening to help out! Time is 5:30 – 8:30pm.

Ha’iku Community Association Meeting Will Discuss Pa’ia By-Pass Status. Plus: Important Updates from Community Groups and Government Officials

Event date: Wednesday May 17 from 6:30-8:30 pm
At the Ha’iku Community Center, Hana Hwy in Haiku

Presentations include:

  • Panel Discussion on the Pa’ia Bypass. State and County officials will participate and cover funding and timelines
  • Joyclynn Costa will give an update on the recent fuel spill at Haleakala US Air Force facility
  • Malama Hamakua Maui volunteers will give a brief update on coqui frog eradication
    efforts with Maui Invasive Species staff in the Hamakualoa Preserve

Please bring Donations of non-perishable foods or the Maui Food bank.
